The Depeche Mode Mini-interactive was created over three years ago as a "just for fun" side project. It comprised of a computerized discography with color thumbnails and digitized sound samples from all the albums and singles. Additionally, there was biography section and a fun "music mixer."

Much has changed in three years. Today the web has emerged as the leading distributor of interactive media displacing stand alone applications . While Depeche Mode web sites, such as the official Depeche Mode web site (http://www.depechemode.com), now more beautifully and thoroughly provide an interactive presentation of the band, we feel there are many fans who may still enjoy this Depeche Mode Min-Interactive. Consequently with the release of Ultra, Depeche Mode's 12th album, we've revised the Depeche Mode Mini-interactive by updating the discography and "music mixer" with more recent music and removing the out-of-date biography section.


The Depeche Mode Mini-Interactive is strictly a prototype application and is provided as a courtesy to the public with no technical support or warranty.

Macintosh

Stuffit Expander is required to decompress the following file.

Part One:  Download Mac version of DM Mini-Interactive (4 MB)

Part Two:  Using Stuffit Expander unstuff DM_MAC.SIT.

Part Three:  In the DM INTERACTIVE MAC folder double-click on DM PLAYER application to start.


Windows

Winzip is required to decompress the following file. The file must be unzipped with directory hierarchy intact - "Use Directory Names" option must be checked when extracting from Winzip. Also note that some sound and video cards are not compatible with this program.

Part One:  Download Win version of DM Mini-Interactive (4.4 MB)

Part Two:  Using Pkunzip or Winzip unzip DM_WIN.ZIP.

Part Three:  In the DM_WIN directory double-click on DM.EXE application to start.
